Do NOT Swear by other than Allāh

Al-‘Allāmah Shaykh ʿUbayd Ibn ʿAbdullāh al-Jābirī (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

“As for the creation, it is not permissible for them to swear by other than Allāh – the Mighty and Majestic – based on the saying of the Prophet ﷺ: ‘Whoever swears by other than Allāh has committed disbelief or Shirk (i.e., has associated partners with Allāh).’”

قال الشيخ عبيد بن عبدالله الجابري رحمه الله:ـ

أما المخلوق فلا يحل له القسم بغير الله عز وجل لقوله صلى الله عليه وسلم: “من حلف بغير الله فقد كفر أو أشرك”.ـ
